During the pandemic of 2020, Seth Mayhew discovers a long-forgotten recording preserved in the archives of the Library of Congress from 1949. The voice belongs to his great-grandfather Gregory Mayhew, recorded at the age of seventy-nine by Alan Lomax. What follows is the astonishing story of a summer in 1883 when the Kansas frontier witnessed the impossible. Gregory was only thirteen when his uncle Anton came into possession of a mysterious artifact known as the Rod of God, a relic rumored to carry the power to override nature itself. With it, Anton becomes the enigmatic showman of legend called Mr. Miracle, traveling the prairie in a painted circus wagon and performing wonders no stage magician could duplicate, or explain. But miracles have consequences too. Resurrection defies the natural order. Forbidden alchemy brings forth a strange child who may carry the soul of an ancient murdered immortal. And as the Miracle Wagon chases a wandering circus across the American West, faith, greed, and fear begin to follow close behind. Because magic that has been stolen from Creation itself, cannot remain hidden forever. And every miracle comes with a cost.

Please note that this, like all my works, isn't meant to be taken seriously. And I apologize if this offends any member of an Abrahamic faith. That's never my intention. I just want to do my own thing. This experiment of mine is majorly based on the Biblical narrative with some alterations. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are a major influence, as well as lesser known Abrahamic faiths like Samaritanism, Druzism, Mandaeism, Rastafari, Baháʼí, Gnosticism (a collection of religious ideas and systems), etc. This is basically my own version of what's going on and shown in Abrahamic faiths, along with aspects of other cultures and beliefs, folklore, and some urban legends. And even beings, and other stuff of legend, people wouldn't expect Him to create and allow to exist. As well as events that nobody expected to actually happen and some people would exist.

"Time and Faith" is a philosophical and historical journey through three epochs of Jerusalem, where the destinies of young men reflect the eternal quest for true revelation. In ancient times, while studying the Torah, young hearts face the dilemma: follow the letter of the law or heed the call of mercy and justice. In the early Christian era, the conflict between reading the Gospel independently and blindly adhering to church dogmas reveals the contradiction between a direct encounter with the Creator's Word and the complexity of traditions. In the 16th century, Muslim youths debate why the Quran-the pure Word of the Creator-requires hundreds of hadiths to be understood, reminding us that true faith is born in the heart, not in accumulated interpretations. This book invites readers to ponder how to preserve the original purity of revelation amid the labyrinth of human interpretations through the ages.
