After receiving the 7 generation old necklace fifteen year old competitive swimmer Kylie Coulier undergoes some massive changes to her life. Upon receiving her ancestors old diary Kylie starts growing fins! She wants to tell her mother but her mother is currently away on a boat, working on a book she wont tell any of her kids about. Kylie is afraid of swimming and now tries everything to get out of it. The only person she would tell besides her mother is her best friend Dylan but upon learning that he doesn't believe mermaids she feels like she can't. However she may be forced to confess when Dylan becomes skeptical and refuses to leave until she explains what going on. Will Kylie be able to confess her problems to Dylan? Or will their friendship be torn to bits?
