Reading Altertale isn't required to understand Charatale, since it is a standalone story, but I do recommend having read Altertale first, since it provides HEAVY context in the character's experience and character development. (Sidenote: Altertale is currently unfinished.) Charatale is heavily inspired from multiple Shonen Anime (Naruto, My Hero Academia, etc.) and will draw many similarities in fight scenes, and character development. I have ambitious plans for this series. Altertale was a one-off "prequel" per se, but I plan Charatale to have multiple story arcs, over 100 episodes and a sequel.

Then it's her turn. The two keep going, laughing their heads of. And before the could stop it, the began falling in love. But, the woman on the other side, Toriel cannot open the door in fear the child could get out. Or even worse, maybe the person on the other side mightn't like her., or recognise her.
