Interlude 5.1 - Aftermath Features emotional vulnerability, questionable Vulcan coping strategies, slow-burn romance, mild sensuality, and two highly intelligent officers making spectacularly complicated decisions about their feelings. No explicit content. Only emotional damage. Following the events of Phase Shift, Commander Spock and Commander Francis Lancaster are forced to confront a truth neither Vulcan discipline nor human instinct can solve alone. As the Enterprise moves on, both officers must decide what kind of future is possible when grief, longing and trust become stronger than control. A character-focused interlude between Episodes 5 and 6 of Strange Resonances.

Everyone on the ship had, at least once, fantasized about Mr. Spock. Women, men... even the very much heterosexual yeoman of Deck 5. It was, apparently, a universal constant. One Spock did not quite understand. Particularly not when his own thoughts began to linger, uninvited, persistent around a presence he could neither justify nor dismiss.

After Leo's death, Salem was destroyed. The town were all killed and the mafia moved on from their now inhabitable former home. But the story isn't over. Leo's friends are still wondering what happened to him. His sister is on her way to meet up with the last connections she has to her brother. A new threat is rising, threatening to destroy the new Salem, and everyone must play a part to stop it before Pestilence destroys them all.

James Tiberius Kirk, the whole space famous heartbreaker, fell in love. He had plenty of choices, a whole galaxy really. But his heart stopped on a Vulcan. Cold and distant, but with eyes so bright, the captain fell instantely under his spell.

After the day passed, everyone turned and shuffled into their houses when dusk crept in, coming to interrupt day’s alluring remarks. It made his stomach crawl, and an uncomfortable feeling to cradle his body. He knew something bad was going to happen that night. Something bad had to happen.

Having been trapped in an alternate time continuum with no way to escape, they may unknowingly hold the fate of the universe in their hands. Two worlds. Two timelines. Two continuums. The universe will never be the same again. All votes are greatly appreciated! *Note* Part 1 takes place in the middle of the Enterprise's historic 5 year mission (2245-50), and Part 2 at the end of the NX-01 Enterprise's mission (2151-61). Part 3 resumes in about the year 2247. **WARNING!!** This book is currently unrevised, there will be mistakes in the plot and characters. When the novel is completed, it WILL undergo a complete revision, and be placed into a new book. This unrevised version will still be here for those who wish to compare the two versions.
