Toshiro is back in town and Karin is ecstatic. He's staying at her house while he's there, but a new adventure begins when Hollows filled the night and Toshiro gets hurt. Karin is now a 3rd year in junior high. Will Karin be able to tell Toshiro how she feels? Will Toshiro be able to tell Karin how he feels? Each chapter is supposed to be one day for the characters, but I'm not sure I did all of them like that.

Toshiro hasn't been around for a while and Karin doesn't know what to think. They don't know their feelings yet, but they do plan on letting each other know how they feel, but at what cost? Ichigo and Rukia want to announce something over a nice dinner with the rest of the Kurosaki family. They didn't expect the rest of the family though to bring home guests. Karin brings home Toshiro along with someone whose supposed to be dead. Isshin brings home a young man with stripes on his cheeks, and a young woman with odd eyes from the hospital. Yuzu brings home a young man in a straw hat as well as an additional cook. Things of course don't go as planned.

Karin enjoys working at the coffee shop owned by Toshiro's godmother Ise Nanao. The white haired fifteen year old isn't like other guys her age having gone to high school with her older brother Ichigo, and now they're both supposed to be graduating college after the winter semester. One day the pressure of being a child genius as well as trying to live up to his father's expectations causes Toshiro to have a mental break down, and Karin finds out she doesn't know the guy she likes as well as she think she did. " I can't do that," Toshiro responded as the wind blew into their faces. His white locks of hair swayed loosely over his bright green eyes. Karin thought about how ghostly he looked - a picture-perfect image of an otherworldly spirit. He didn't look like he belonged here, " This matter involves you." ~ 6 years - it had been 6 years since she'd met him. More than enough time to move on with her life despite his abrupt departure. Now in college, not much has changed. The only difference is that her siblings are often away for work or school, or that she sees more spirits than ever before. Regardless, she could've never predicted that he would show up again - but not for the reasons she's thought. (After a long time thinking about it, I've decided to rewrite Playing with Fire. This new plotline will differ from the old version while borrowing a few elements. Any old comments on the story or character interactions won't relate to this new version anymore. )

Karin made chocolates for Valentine's day and has Rukia deliver the gift declaring it is chocolate made from friendship.
