It's been five years since Maki, Rin and Hanayo have left school, and seven years since μ's broke up. As much as all nine girls tried, their new lives made them unable to keep in contact as much as they would have liked to. All girls had chosen their own paths, and perused them alone. But when Honoka receives a letter from the managers of 'Love Live!' informing her that the competition is slowly losing popularity, she has to round up the other eight members of μ's, so they can perform one last time and restore the contest to its former glory.
