It's a quiet day in the office as L and Matsuda are working together.

It's been one week since the end of Kira. The Task Force can finally return to their normal lives. Today is February 4th, Hirabayashi Shizuki's birthday. She intends to spend her day as normal as possible, but her plans have suddenly taken a turn for the unexpected when an unexpected guest arrives.

Eyo it's me, back at it again with the dumb rare-pair fanfic! Ok sorry about the dumb damn Daniel reference, I've been rewatching a lot of SaltyDKDan videos. Anyways this is a fanfic that follows L and Matsuda in an au where Light is taken down before the time-skip, and now the Kira Catching Squad has disbanded, for the most part, as L and Matsuda still work together, doing cases with each other, and living together. This is going to be slightly serious, I'm going to try to make it slightly serious at least, but there will be fluff. Also there will be spoilers for the anime up until the time-skip. Also, also I probably won't mention the Watari orphanage much, since I don't feel like writing those boys, and sorry if there's any inconsistencies with the manga I haven't read it.
