The Town of Salem was nothing special...at least, not at first. Soon after it's founder died, the city went through a dramatic rise in population. But with new town members, came evil. Now, the people have divided itself into factions. Those who wished to preserve and save the town from evil aligned. Plagued with the goal of weeding put and stopping the evil, they utilized special skills in their members and assigned roles. They became, simply, the Town. Those who hungered for money and power and would do anything to become dominant aligned. They would do anything to convert or silence anyone who opposed them. They became known as the Mafia. Those who wanted nothing more than to survive chose not to take sides--too much. They were known as Neutrals. The Survivors aligned with anyone who would let them live. The Witches chose to aid anyone with evil in their heart, so long as it left them alive and unscathed. The Jesters and Executioners had one goal, and would help anyone who would help them achieve it. Even if they died because of it. There were the Vampires, a private faction who thirsted for blood and wished for recruits. They spared nobody, and haunted the night. And then there the smaller, private factions. Sometimes only a single member made up the faction, sometimes more. Though they opposed each other, they became known as the Serial Killers, the Arsonists, and the Werewolves. The factions all fight for dominance. From Spies to Janitors, the divided people of the Town of Salem were determined to come out on top--no matter the risk. This book is composed of different point of views from each of the Town of Salem roles, woven together to create a tale of murder, deception, and trickery. Enjoy.

Cecile is a duchess. She lives in a mansion, her father having left for diplomatic reasons and her mother dead, she is in charge. She leads a peaceful life, until one day her house maid, Delfine is murdered. Cecile's life becomes a game of who did it, when the thirty permanent residents are picked off one by one. The young duchess, who is 15, takes matters into her own hands by each night when everyone sleeps (Except killers.) interrogating residents. Each morning when sun shines brightest the residents must decide who did it, otherwise they will never live again. With some of the people of Salem Manor being investigative, and others working together to pick off the other residents, a few even speak to the dead. Cecile must learn to avoid a killer if she is ever to lead a normal life again.
