The following includes a series of short poems that touch upon the subject of friendship, specifically those that are toxic, one-sided, and problematic. These poems, as I should note, are mostly drawn from my very own personal experiences, and I have chosen to express my feelings through writing because it provides me comfort and warmth. The first poem is titled "Parties Are A Great Escape," in which the speaker chooses to leave the party early so that he could return home, without his friend, and reflect upon their friendship.
