Georgianna, a mysterious, unchaperoned lady, must join a California bound wagon train with a Joseon card shark in order to escape her unfortunate past. Georgianna, often called Miss Elliot, hasn't found a place to call home ever since her father's unexpected death. Driven from her New England home and forced to abandon her Uncle's plantation in the dead of night, she flees to the "Gateway to the West" where she hopes to join a wagon train headed to California - the only problem being, she doesn't know the first thing about traveling West. Lee "Card" Young, sometimes referred to as a con artist, has never spent more than two weeks in any town since before the Mexican War broke out. He knows how to manipulate a deck of cards better than most Americans could cut a steak. The saloon gamblers don't like his slick fingering but can't figure out how he's cheating, so they drive him out of their town on claims that "Chin-eese" don't belong among them. To avoid being lynched, he keeps a small suitcase filled for a quick escape to the next town - which happens to be Independence, Missouri. Will the Card Shark con Georgianna out of her money or will she con him out of his heart?

Well hello there \(^w^)\ I see you saw this book and ask why is there a burger on the cover?!, What's the "Adventure of Gingerbread man"? Do you know the real story of the Gingerbread man? Well I wanna make it a different one one mix with a bit of comedy and.... something XD Plot of the story: After the grandmother bake the gingerbread man she was surprise that the Gingerbread man was alive! The grandmother was hungry so she was about to grab but he quickly dodge it! When the gingerbread man saw a burger he REALLY wants to eat it. So he waited until the grandmother turn her back so he can escape. When the grandmother turned her back he quickly got out of the tray and ran away! He found a map which is tattered and torn pretty much useless he grabs it and goes on his quest to find that burger Book cover made by me Enjoy!

Trail of a soul leaves behind a bitter story which everyone ought to realize in their life.

When Sadie was 18, her parents were killed in a car accident, leaving her all alone on her ranch with her quarter horses. Most of them she sold off, but she kept a few favorites to show and breed. University doesn't have a place in her mind;horses are the only thing that matter to her now. Then, on a visit to a family friend's farm, she sees an ordinary bay gelding, who she becomes interested and buys. This horse is special though. It has a secret talent, and its up to Sadie to find it.
