Rosie the Little Purple Engine (isn't she pink tho-) was introduced in Season 10 of the Television Series and, like most engines introduced during this era of the show, Rosie didn't get much of a backstory.....and proceeded to not really get one......for the rest of the show. So, I wanted to rectify that, having said that, here is my take on Rosie's Backstory sticking to the Railway Series lore for most of it with a few callbacks to other stories of similar events.

They Are All A Bunch Of Pompous Yellow Pricks That Are Only Here To Sell Toy Trains To Children, And The Workers Who Operate The Damn Things Are The Ones Who Suffer At The Hands Of The Companies Who Practically Run The Whole Country Along With The Loud Mouth Talking Machines That Stink Up The Place. There's A Whole Lot Of Trouble To Get Into.
