Francis Flynn always wanted to be normal, but of course, that would always be impossible. No amount of wanting would ever change what she was: Abnormal. Unusual. Francis didn't want to try to be normal, but society seemed to have other plans. Starting a new year at a new school with new people seemed like it could be the best thing to happen to Francis, but she had her doubts. Her normal was a life of discrimination and frustration. Normal wasn't something that Francis necessarily liked, but it was something that she wanted. At her new school, things become not-so-normal for Francis when she meets some not-so-normal people, including a not-so-normal girl that ignite some not-so-normal feelings. Maybe Francis won't mind being not-so-normal after all.

Miku is a jobless deadbeat. Meiko's the one Miku relies on to live. Luka has long since moved away. Kaito is mentally ill and unable to find a job due to the ableist environment. Gumi is a stressed office worker. Piko is a transgirl with horrid dysphoria. Mayu's falling in love with them all despite dating Gumi. Gakupo is a single father. Oliver is terminally ill. Neru is a sex worker. Rin and Len just want everybody to get along. IA is just the girl next door that Miku's grown to love. Haku is suicidal. And one of them's a murderer.

Even if you're not planning on writing a trans character anytime soon, you might want to read this. These are some things about trans people to keep in mind when you're writing, brought to you by your local nonbinary emo who is very angry and very desperate for respectful trans representation. (Okay, seriously, I really would appreciate it if you'd read this because I think it could be very helpful.)
