However, few people know about their far-superior, magical, less problematic counterpart - The Elmwoods. The Elmwoods are a well-known family in the wizarding community - at least, after young Amethyst's first year they are. That's when the real trouble starts. Follow The Elmwoods through tumultuous years of magic, mischief, mystery, M&M's and other things beginning with M.

This isn't a love story. It's a story about how love can be a weapon. Anne Graves grew up in an orphanage with her best friend, Damien. The two were attached at the hip, as their headmistress said. One day, that all ended. Anne was taken to 'The Facility, ' a place that said it provided treatment for special demons. It was here that Anne met Percy and Yelena, her two other best friends. However, she was a little too much for them to handle; she spoke out, and she had her own opinions. She was just... a little too different. The Facility didn't do 'different'. So they brought in Damien to control her. He was perfect; he already had ties to her, and Anne already trusted him. The Society tricked and manipulated him, getting under his skin until he became the perfect little puppet. They used his love for Anne against him, until it wasn't love anymore. It was resentment. What happens when love turns into resentment, and worse, what happens when love gets traded for power?

When eight teenagers from opposing social circles, decide to have an exclusive lock-in at their school, they get an unexpected visit from older versions of themselves. What will become of them and their friendships when they each learn the fates that await them?

Starting a new year at a new school with new people seemed like it could be the best thing to happen to Francis, but she had her doubts. Her normal was a life of discrimination and frustration. Normal wasn't something that Francis necessarily liked, but it was something that she wanted. At her new school, things become not-so-normal for Francis when she meets some not-so-normal people, including a not-so-normal girl that ignite some not-so-normal feelings. Maybe Francis won't mind being not-so-normal after all.
