The story of a man living in a very different future Earth and his journey across it to the woman he loves.

In the heartland of North America in the year 3010, a mysterious blight has occurred nearby the town of New Lawrence. It has wiped out all life in a cancerous blotch on the ground. Events get even more curious as four sisters, within the town, obtain abilities that have been mysteriously granted to them. Only Human is a science fiction drama about a forgotten super-soldier, who must keep up with a unit of next-generation super soldiers in spite of his now-obsolete technology. The inspiration for my story came while reading about DARPA's (a government agency) research on super soldiers. As a handicapped person, I began to ask myself: how far would I go to remove my limitations?

However, under the digital suns of the New Reality, tensions are escalating: rivalties among clans divide the Council of the Hundred; the Opus, guardian of the bionet implant and its network, is suspected of the worst; Low Tech, the crypto-libertarian nebula fighting for a free bionet, becomes more radical. The devouring ambition of two men will strike the crisis and set in motion the deadly machinery of revolution. Plunged into chaos, the entire city will have to stand up and fight. Everyone will have to face themselves, their dreams, their ghosts, or their destiny...

Less than forty years into the future, most of mankind has elected to upload themselves to digital nirvana, where they can live as many lives as they care to in parallel, in as many different fantasy worlds as they desire. A small percentage of humans, however, are loath to give up the mortal coil. These last holdouts are the escapees from the future. The question is, for how long? Will Mother, the sentient internet, be content with gentle prodding to upgrade and uplift? Or will she resort to more coercive means? Has she already, unbeknownst to the final holdouts?

Six hundred years into mankind’s unexpected exodus from Earth’s solar system due to a prematurely exploding sun, humanoid species have spread far and wide to form a trans-galactic empire. This is in part due to the pioneering genius of Frakas and his bioengineering prowess which allows humanoids to accommodate to new planets readily. It is also secondary to special pod ships and spirit ships left behind by long dead civilizations that allow for teleportation across massive chasms of spacetime. But the empire is torn. War rages in four sectors. The wargods governing each sector want to unite the entire kingdom under one banner, theirs. But each of the sectors has unique challenges and pitfalls that stymie the other warlords, maintaining a stalemate seemingly without end. Enter Raikin and his entourage of followers. In his teens, he is the youngest of the hundred year men to intervene in celestial matters, and he may also have his hands the most full. Will he and his followers be enough to upset the stalemate and bring peace to the universe? Or will the intense fusion of cutting edge science and magic he introduces to the equation simply spread these battles beyond this universe into parallel universes, and the multiverse as a whole? More ominous still, there appears to be outside forces influencing matters in the four sectors beyond anyone’s knowledge or ability to grasp. Some of the tech bequeathed to them by long dead civilizations may have a life and a mind of its own, begging the question, are these distant parties relegated to history, or just to a dimension beyond their current reach?

The continuing journeys of the FSS Armstrong as it explores the periphery of the galaxy on a mission of peace in search of lost human civilizations. This is the third Season of an ongoing series. It is recommended to begin with Season 1.
