23 teenage campers compete in dangerous and humiliating challenges to win $100,000. Hosted by Chris McLean, the campers are initially split into two teams but eventually compete individually after a "merge". At the end of each episode, the losing team votes to eliminate one contestant, who must walk the "Dock of Shame" and leave the island on the "Boat of Losers". The last contestant remaining wins the grand prize
