Emmett always knew he was a boy, a from a very young age he had no problem letting everyone know it. His mother however had different ideas. She never wanted a little boy--and she couldn't stand looking at the 'abomination' she had raised. She should have just threw him to the curb. She kept him all the years because she thought she could beat some sense into him. Beat into her the little girl she had birthed when she was just 18. Then to top it off she has a little girl----a babygirl that doesn't identify as a boy and she sides with her so called brother, the word makes her sick, knowing that it wasn't originally meant to be that way. Meanwhile, Emmett is trying to get his mother to understand----he never chose this, he never identified as a male to mearly spite her, he tried so many times to convince himself he was wrong about his gender--for his sake,but no matter how many times he tried, he just couldn't convince himself that he was female. For awhile it was just him and his mom, and even though she beat him for his identity, he often felt bad and tried to take care of her. His sister Renee came along and that was when things really went down hill. His sister knew he was her brother since she could speak. As she got older, his mother started beating on Renee. That was was he lost it. He called DCFS and got custody of Renee, now Free from their mother, Ren is now asking to be known as a he, could Emmett end up raising his little brother? Or is it just a phase? and what of the mother? read on to find out
