One day, while Shyam was visiting the temple during the puja, the priest spotted him and proclaimed to Govardhan that the solution to their childlessness had been found. According to the priest, Govardhan's wife, Sumitra, would become pregnant if Govardhan married Shyam, thereby transferring the curse of barrenness to Shyam. However, Shyam had always identified as a straight man, and the thought of being someone's wife was unfathomable to him.

Nia Nal is mainly known as a fictional character in the DC comics, and is also on the TV show Supergirl. She is a trans woman (mtf) and was lucky enough to change young. The author themself, is a demigirl/enby who wrote this to feel more confident in coming out. I do hope that someone will read this and feel confident enough to come out. This short book is mainly of the struggles I am going through (yes- currently) and what I imagined happened with Nia Nal, had she been real.
