McD! Gene x Reader This is an au where instead of Laurance starting the rebellion it was Gene. And instead of Gene being Shad's right hand man, it's Zane. •~~• Some sense had snapped in Gene, he didn't want to be a villain anymore, he didn't want to be a bad guy. He started feeling other emotions again other than hatred and anger and started feeling a whole lot of regret. So he gathered up a group that started feeling the same as well and started a rebellion against Shad. Since he left Shad had made Zane his new right hand man. After a month Laurance had also joined his group and they've been fighting for 3 years. That is until they are cornered by a nether portal. Gene, who ended up wounded, calls for a retreat through the portal and they ended on the Phoenix Drop Alliance Island. All the soldiers who seemed fine, but Laurance, are captured and imprisoned in jail. The wounded ones were being healed including Gene who refused to be healed by you and Zoey. Well that is until he hurts himself more and finally allows you to help him. The story follows you and Gene growing closer as the shadow knights prepare to go back to the nether. But will you go with him?
