Sal Fisher has been deaf since that stupid dog ripped his face and ears apart. It was bad enough that he had terrible hearing before. He moved to the Addison Apartments in Middle School, and immediately was bullied by a boy named Travis Phelps. Eventually transferring out because of it. A few years later, it's now high school. Travis regrets everything. He wishes he could apologize but he knows he'll probably never get the chance again. He grows depressed and suicidal after being bullied for four years and abused for his entire life. The day he decides to end his suffering coincidentally ends up being the day Sal Fisher transfers to his school and tries to befriend him.
