What is Colon Cancer? The big intestine is where colon cancer typically first manifests itself (colon). The colon marks the end of the digestive system. Anyone can develop colon cancer at any age, but it most frequently strikes the elderly. The interior of the colon frequently develops small, benign (noncancerous) cell clusters known as polyps as the earliest symptoms of the illness. Colon cancer may eventually emerge from some of these tumours.
