Taking place during the 10th Hunger Games, Josephine is assigned to mentor the District 7 male for a school project; but when she meets her tribute, it turns into much more than a school assignment.

"shadows with that same look upon their faces / a child will die that nobody embraces / everything gets tiresome, every thing grows old / with each secret revealed, there's another to be told" As the orphaned daughter of former rebel leaders, she's sure that the Capitol and everyone in it is praying on her downfall in these games. Just another example to be made. But she'll be damned if she doesn't to everything in her power to get back to her family.

Ellie was one of the 24 students who are forced into mentoring in order to graduate, little did she knew, the boy she was assigned would be the one she risk everything for just to make sure he survives.
