When eleven-year-old d'Artagnan starts at the Louvre Grammar and Boarding School, he doesn't expect to be caught in a quest for truth about the most secretive man in all of France. There is the ambitious troublemaker Milady and quiet bookworm Constance, both of whom have secrets of their own. And then there are the Inseparables: large, friendly orphan Porthos; witty, sarcastic Athos; and humorous prankster Aramis. Finally, there is Rochefort and Βοnacieux, both of whom have a strong dislike for d'Artagnan and his friends; and sullen Religious Education teacher Monsieur Richelieu, who immediately clashes with d'Artagnan and his friends. So the war against Grimaud and Gaston and thier army was fought and won and the Musketeers went thier seperate ways . Aramis became First Minister of France, D'Artagnan became Captain of the Musketeers, Porthos returned to the front as General Du Vallon and Athos set off on an entirely new journey. What happens when, three years after this, the four are reunited? Will they be too different now, or will they still live by the sacred code, all for one and one for all? Through the thin crevices of time, and from old tomes on history, there just may be a justifiable way to find reasonable proof that the most famous Musketeer in history had indeed arrived into Paris for the first time in 1640 - despite "suggested" historical proof to the contrary. Which, as these historical documents "seem" to imply, the soldier-hero actually arrived much, much earlier - leaving both the famous "Memoirs of d'Artagnan" (especially its controversial author Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras - author of these famous Memoirs from the year 1700), and of d'Artagnan's legendary meeting with the three Musketeers (Athos, Porthos, and Aramis) on the floor of total fiction! But, again, and as this present author of this modern work hopes to prove, the chances of d'Artagnan actually meeting these men, as Courtilz had at first suggested, just may be a plausible historical episode after all! . . . Follow along with Swashbuckling author, Ted Anthony Roberts (writer of both "Donaree the Musketeer" and "Sword Against the Robe") in his very first work on historical non-fiction, and on the early life and career of France's most famous swashbuckling hero - whilst he attempts, along the way, to set the historical record straight. Strictly speaking, though, this book is not a detailed biography on either d'Artagnan, nor of his three friends, but is rather a short composite-sketch of the scarce information that we do have on the early life of d'Artagnan's entry into Paris - which is almost totally lacking! Therefore, much detective work has to be done for anything satisfying, at all, to come across to us; especially when we realize that most of what we do know (which is extremely shaky itself) comes from Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras; which, as I've said, is a very controversial work on its "historic" accuracy, which most historians don't even give an inch of consideration.

At the age of thirteen Amelia's life changed for the worse. Her mother was hung and her father abandoned her. Now after five years she is learning more about her life before she became the adoptive sister of D'artagnan. Will learning the truth help or break her? Will she live to learn the truth? Will she be able to open the locket her mother and father gave her? Will she learn about the scars that litter her body?

Following the death of her father, there is nothing left for Odette in Scotland. At her uncle's suggestion, she journeys to Paris to be closer to him. Musketeer Athos is sent to accompany Odette from LeHavre to Paris and that should have been the end of it, but their paths keep crossing. While neither Odette nor Athos is keen on marrying an attraction forms between them. What will the captain's niece and the captain's finest man in the regiment do?

What if D'artagnan didn't travel to Paris alone?? What if his fourteen year old sister had gone with him?? And what if their father had trained them both to use a sword, not just his son?? The brother and sister were both raised by their father, although they have different mothers who are both sadly no longer with them. As soon as their father is killed, the two travel to Paris in search of their father's long lost best friend - Captain Treville. He helps them the best of his abilities once they are reunited. But of course, when meeting with Treville, you are bound to meet the famous three musketeers: Athos, Aramis and Porthos. Warning: Athos x D'artagnan. Aramis x Porthos.
