Scarlett and her friends have always spent every fall at a family farmhouse for as long as they can remember up until the year they turned 16. That year was different, but not only because a new comer tagged along. That year was fill with a different type of fear than what they used to always experience. This story functions as a moment Scarlett looks back at that one year where everything happened, now fifteen years later when things finally fully unfold. Note: I wrote this story for a contest where I had to create any story that started with the line "Are you there, God? It's me..." And I had to keep the word limit under 3000 words. I apologize if the ending seems abrupt, but as I said I had to keep this under 3000 words. I may end up adding more later on to fully finish it. I hope you enjoy!

This is Book 8 and 9 in the; Moiraio series Fem!OC x Leo Valdez. Please go read my other books if you have not for this series. This is a combination of House of Hades and Blood of Olympus (even a bit into Trials of Apollo, before I end the story). There will be darker and more adult-like themes displayed in this book. Victor Russo knows that this time he can't turn away. Whether he'd like it or not... He'd have to face reality..

Kristina (the thief) stole the crowned jewel of the kingdom, an old man's wristwatch and someone's sweet baby boy. After being locked in prison for 5 years she finds her way to escape. Justin (the murderer) killed his girlfriend after an argument where she threatened to not only leave him but tell his stalker ex-girlfriend where he is. Irena (the witch) is supposed to be beheaded Friday... well not if the gods themselves have something to do about it... Dylan (a knight) has duties to fulfill, but forget all that, there's a pretty girl. Together can they save the kingdom, or will they perish with it?
