Prologue; 2023 17th Of August, 11:30pm Alice ran through the paddocks of Ex, afraid of what was behind her. Her finger tips starting started to tingle and go numb. Slowly spreading through out her arms. The wind howled and the grass crunched underneath her feet. She felt a sharp slicing through her leg. She stumbled, wanting to lay on the ground and sleep. But the tingling spreading through her legs jolted her awake. She felt the current pulsing though her bones and closed her eyes. Only thinking one word. The word that started this mess but would also end it. Glitch **************************************************** Alice Tate Glitches. Its not like a computer glitch, no. Its more like a glitch though time. Some how some where a rip in time and space had formed and Alice had fallen straight through it. Not that she knew that of course, she only knew that something was chasing her and when ever it got close she Glitched.

Author's Note: I know this poem is long, but I put a lot of hard work into it. I would really appreciate it if you tell me what you think. :) This is a free verse poem and there's a meaning behind it. It's about a piano player who's under the pressure of being perfect. However, she's always second best and doesn't know how to deal with it. I wrote this poem for a contest about "Childhood Memories".

When it is stolen and later returned, she realizes that the fleeing from responsibility by her entire maternal family was part of something much bigger. The Legion of the Ancestry. A widespread society of those possessing a specific type of magic that dealt with trinkets; small, showy pieces of jewellery. Once the truth about it is revealed, Aaren and a group of rebels from the Ancestry have to join forces to bring their lost ones back with the help of a special anklet. In the midst of their adventure, Aaren learns to develop her powers. But it feels like she hasn't any. And when it comes to bringing the non-existent back to existence, there is a price. Especially when a shiny piece of jewellery is involved. ****
