There's no thrum of anticipation or shiver of fear; it is just an action. Six. I am Six. I am Six and he is Four. "We need to destroy those serums and the prints so they can't make more." It's silly to think that there's a recipe for war, but this serum would be it. An idea is building in my head. It is ironic that I need to be selfless to save hundreds of people - and selflessness does not come easy to me. I turn to Tobias, one leg folded on the bed between us. "If they ask again, will you accept a leadership position?" "If Dauntless leader is where you want me, then, yes, I will accept," he says. I sigh. It's not often I do, but I do so now with relief. "Good," I say. "Then I know how we're going to stop them."

~ Adding a new twist to the infamous series Divergent by Veronica Roth ~ When Evelyn Johnson, mother of Tobias Eaton and wife of Marcus Eaton, fakes her death in order to escape the domestic abuse of her husband, she flees to the Factionless in hopes to find a haven. She's met with uncertainty and guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing basic survival supplies. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown to her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

This is my first Divergent story and I don't know much so please be gentle :) "You really think you belong here Pacer?" "I belong just as much as you do Hayes." Abby Pacer is 16 years old and sits in her faction home Amity which are peacemakers and don't fight, which describes her perfectly to mostly everyone but when the Choosing Ceremony begins she's stuck with the decision to either stay with her parents and have them be proud of her or to transfer and disappoint them.

It is 6 months after Gus's death, and Hazel is finally losing the battle she has been fighting for so long. A little surprise also in store...
