"A child who listens to the elders does not walk into a trap. You are the First Seed, but even a seed needs the shade of an old tree to grow straight." To the world, Yaw was just another cry in the humid air of Ghana's Ashanti Region. But to his family, he was the First Seed, the bearer of a thousand unfulfilled dreams. Born into a home rich in love but shadowed by biting poverty, Yaw's life becomes a fierce battle for survival, dignity, and purpose. From the bustling, chaotic streets of Madina hawking sachet water under a blistering sun, to hanging off the sides of roaring trotros as a mate, Yaw learns the hard way that pride is a luxury you swallow when you have a family to lift up. Guided by the fierce sacrifice of his mother, his "Woman King" and the timeless ancestral wisdom of his grandmother, he fights to pave a path toward a better future. But just as the light begins to break and his dreams of becoming an educator take root, an unannounced shadow threatens to wash everything away. The Shadows of Life is a raw, deeply moving Ghanaian memoir of resilience, the crushing weight of being the firstborn, and the unbreakable bonds of family. It is a powerful reminder that no matter how deep the darkness, a seed's only job is to grow.

Welcome, traveler. Step into the Crownless Lands-a realm that should have been golden but never was. The maps still show grand borders; the songs still promise glory. But up close you'll find frayed banners, broken vows, and people trying to live between the teeth of history. Here, adventurers hunt fortunes that refuse to be found. Heroes rise late or fall early. Lives are traded, stolen, and sometimes-miraculously-saved. And the creatures? Some stalk the roads and terrorize the villages. Others arrive with a lesson sharp as a blade. And the kingdom's worst monsters wear crowns made of lies. --- What You're Getting Into: A weekly high/dark-fantasy pulp serial-fast, moody, full of intrigue, sorcery, and razor twists. Each episode lands a complete beat and ends on a cliffhanger. Where It All Unravels: A continent under a failing crown: forts crumble, roads go quiet, new rules harden. Towns and frontiers fend for themselves-more grit than resources. Bloodlines, Beasts & the In-Between: Shifts among humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and classic creatures-some scourge, some uneasy allies. How the Story Moves: Chapters leap across the map, braiding many plots into one struggle. Local skirmishes mirror the bigger fight for a crown no one can hold. The People Worth Bleeding For: An ensemble of adventurers, exiles, heirs, and schemers. Not every arc finds light-some rise late, fall early, or trade all for one mercy. Your Weekly Drop: New chapters every Thursday, 6-10k words. Each deepens the world, sharpens the cast, and drives the saga-great for weeklies and first-timers. Important Note: The story follows multiple destinies; chapters are non-sequential and jump between plots across the Crownless Lands.

Lisa's Triumph: Victory over Leukemia will stir the hearts of all who read it. Giving a thrust of confidence and optimism to those afflicted or closely affected by this, or any other, life threatening or perilous disease, debilitation, deformity, or injury--Lisa's Triumph is creative nonfiction at its best. This is the true story of Lisa Sullivan and her family. Only days prior to her tenth birthday, they were told she had just a twenty percent chance of living six months--if the chemotherapy worked! Undaunted by bleak statistics, Lisa's family helped her win an overwhelming battle. Get to know Lisa, and you will appreciate her fiery surge of strength mushrooming from within and experience a budding sensation of infinite power. If ever there existed a golden key to self-preservation, you will find it among the pages of Lisa's Triumph. This is not merely about Lisa's struggle: It parallels the observations, feelings, and thoughts of those closest to her, explaining their reactions and fears--and how each was able to cope and overcome. "I want people to know it doesn't have to be like that," Lisa's mother says as she remembers the foreboding predictions that were often set before them. But Lisa tells it differently. She takes you back, allowing you to look through the eyes of a young girl. "I just wanted to be like the other kids," she explains. "You know, to be able to stay overnight at a slumber party...or have my own hair again after it all fell out." "Yes," her mother Pat recalls, "she lost her hair eleven times. Finally, we began shaving her head. It was easier that way. We'd sit in front of the mirror, laughing and crying and hugging each other." Lisa's Triumph radiates inspiration and hope as it conveys a message of faith: a tragic story with a happy ending; a lesson of incredible forbearance against towering adversities; a time of steadfast courage where the unconquerable is defeated; and by true measure, a wondrous miracle.

A lot of people say that money is everything, these words are just the worst of everything. In contrast, money is not everything but everything needs money, this one sounds better because it's realistic. Another one, money can't buy happiness but it will certainly get you a better class of memories, agree with the first half of it but the other half.. better class of memories..? that isn't quite right.. Personally the best one to come is that money is the one who needs to work for us, not we are the one who works for it. This story is about what money brings into my family, my life, and everything. Not brave enough to fight back, lack of knowledge, hence all I can do all this time is holding my shield and guarding myself and my three angels. No matter how long and how strong someone can hold the shield, there will be a time where they will get up and fight back. My time finally comes where I draw my sword and get ready to attack my opponents.
