Briseis of Pedasus is a princess with a dual fate. She is the daughter of an unknown goddess and a king obsessed with legacy. A legacy Briseis is unable to continue, much to her father's dismay. As the Trojan War begins, Briseis accepts a quest to kill a man in the name of a goddess who wants glory, and if Briseis succeeds, the curse upon her house will be reversed. This is a story of parents and children, love and hate, hope and dismay as characters question if it's impossible to change the fates which have been decreed for them. I participated in the Wattpad Bootcamp Mentorship Program which pairs mentees with mentors to work on a story of the mentee's choosing. My Fantasia world

A prophecy given by the king and queen of the "Land of Ancient Stories" concerning the pressing of an important button, finally came true. Willy Wonka, a man lusting for power, was the one who pressed it, and had to design a new reality really carefully; so that everything favours him. Characters from myths, legends, old fairy tales and even real events, who were living in this realm and have now forgotten their past selves, are all found co-existing in this new reality (with all the trouble they can cause by living together). The arrival of a young woman, Natalie, who is somehow connected to the old realm and the new reality, a town ruled by Willy called Historiville, will bring the upside down to the characters and help unveil the truth...

This is a poem I wrote for the Rewind The Classics 2021 contest. The challenge was to chose a classic and retell it with a twist. I chose the Iliad, specifically the relationship between Achilles and Briseis within it. I wrote the poem in the format of a tanka. A tanka is a poem in which each line has a certain number of syllables, the sequence is 5, 7, 5, 7, 7. The poem had to be 300 words so the sequence repeats until the very last word of this poem.
