After the loss of King Peppy, Princess Viva becomes queen at a young age and is pressured to take action to protect her people, even if it means not being able to pay attention to her younger sister. Now older, Poppy wants to see the world and not feel trapped by her older sister, no matter how much she loves her, and with the help of her friends she decides to change history and find a way to make the Bergens happy without having to eat Trolls, without her sister knowing.
