John Dory was content with his usual routine majoring in music and partying it up. However..the only thing stopping him from keeping on were his grades. To get credit and pass his impossible class, he was going to have to do the worst thing possible: audition for the college's musical. What happens when this miserable mission turns around when he meets a cutie (You!) and realizes things suddenly aren't looking as bad as they seem?

"I'll be there for you, no matter what." Thirteen-year-old John Dory loves caring for his three younger brothers: Spruce, Clay, and Floyd. As the oldest, he especially loves comforting, encouraging, and supporting them, although he sometimes tends to boss them around. However, John Dory tries his best not to do this as he remembers to always be there for them, no matter what, especially whenever their grandmother goes to run errands. Plus, watching over his brothers makes him feel like a responsible, mature grownup...for only a short time. But what happens if Grandma Rosiepuff has to go to the market and take Spruce to a doctor's appointment? And what if Clay decides at the last minute that he wants to go to a Book Festival and comes along with them? That leaves John Dory to care for and watch over three-year-old Floyd...for only a few hours. Although feeling confident and willing to give it his all and be there for his youngest brother, John Dory secretly feels anxious about doing this. First off, he has never done this before. Second, he knows Floyd can be shy, emotional, sensitive to the extreme, and has been potty training for four days so far. How is John Dory going to handle this on his own?

Meanwhile Branch and John become the new leaders of their tribe and vowed to make sure that their people will survive and thrive for 20 years of pop. Then a month after the Bergens and Trolls became friends, the World Tour happens and the new king of pop will reunite with the new princess of punk rock who had forgotten who she used to be. Four brothers are left on the steps of a children's home in the middle of the night. One by one each of the brothers are adopted apart for the oldest. JD is left alone and totally bereft. A kind foster family take him on to try and improve his 'condition'. Despite their best efforts his depression persists. A few years later the Applesons take on another troubled grey child. The pair soon discover they share an unspoken understanding of what it is to be grey. They become virtually inseparable. However when the opportunity comes giving JD a chance to seek out his scattered brothers, will he risk this 'Grey Bond' he has formed with Branch, who may be more than just his 'foster' brother?

Floyd has been rescued, the brothers are reunited, the sisters are reunited, and it's one big happy party. Except that there are a few things left between them that never did get settled. And while Branch isn't fully prepared to go back to his empty bunker, he's not sure he's ready for the alternative. Two months. Floyd had been trapped in a diamond bottle for two whole months. And apparently he'd missed a lot. For starters, a whole "World Tour", as he's heard it be referred to, broke out. Rock tried to take everyone's strings (which apparently those were a thing), Pop fought back, Bounty Hunters were involved, as were Rock Zombies, and just a whole bunch of other stuff Floyd was struggling to remember. All the tribes lost their music and color for a few minutes, but then all was swell and everyone was happy. Friends with their enemies, even. If only it were that easy for him. -- Floyd can't help but think about those two months. You know, the two months where he was stuck in a bottle, and had all his talent sucked right out of him. Now it's up to his brothers to help him heal from what happened, but it won't be a simple process.
