I decided to have all my works both in English and Spanish. I feel that in this way most people are going to be able to read and hopefully enjoy my work. When I do translations, a common issue I find is that many things that are native to my country, don't make sense in English, so I decided to leave those words in cursive, or If I don't is because I have found an equivalent in this language. // This is a poem that I wrote for a dear friend. We don't stay in contact always, but when we talk is like time hasn't passed. In the past we used to always talk about visiting each other, and although we are just a bus ride (or two) apart, something always happened, so here I narrated an imaginary trip that we made to the beach. If you tend to be a nostalgic person, like myself, I think writing alternate stories of things you never got the chance to do (specially mundane things of everyday life) is a good way to soothe the soul. Most of us have gone to the beach, but it so happens that when I wrote this, my friend and I couldn't manage to do that, so this was my gift for him. / For those friends who are art, emotion, memories.
