The alarm blared. Lights flickered. An experiment gone wrong. It was chasing me. I knew it was. I turned corners quickly and sloppily. I ran for the elevator. Open, open, open, open, open, open, open, open. The door opened. I stepped inside. Close, close, close, close, close, close, close, close. I watched the hallway. I hoped with everything I had that it wouldn't be there. The door closed. I breathed a sigh of relief. I knew I was safe. Or thought. And I also knew to always look everywhere. Especially up. Well, now I do. But that doesn't help me now. It was there. It got me.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are the family issues?" He asked, setting down his paintbrush and paint to listen to Troy talk. Troy did the same, "well, you see, my mother and father both died in a car accident, so of course I moved in with Steve and my aunt and uncle...I call them my mom and dad though since they basically are...they don't like me. At all. I try my best to impress them, like do the dishes, do the laundry, feed the dog, look nice everyday...but eventually I just realized there best thing I could've done for them in the first place is to just disappear completely. So that's why I'm always in my room, never with them. I don't want them hating me more then they already do, so I try not to push their limits..." Troy explained, shifting in his seat nervously. Mike frowned, "I'm really sorry about everything I've said, too...if I'd known-" he said guiltily, chewing his bottom lip. "It's fine now though, don't worry about it." Troy shrugged.
