The Christmas Truce of 1914 was indeed a real life event, however the characters within the story are fictitious. I have tried do some accurate research of the Christmas Truce, but there are many different accounts that display many different things. Some events in the Christmas Truce are not exactly concrete which made this story quite difficult to write with 100% accuracy, so this is merely an interpretation!
