If you need to start a coffee truck with High Roller Start Up Budget ($ 20,000 over)
Appliances: If I had extra cash at startup, knowing what I know now, I would buy an inline water filter for my fresh water tank. Every morning I have to stop at a water filter station and fill 5 gallon bottles to fill my fresh water tank. It's a big pain in the ass. Having an inline water filter means I can attach any drinking water hose to my device and have great water. Remember, good coffee is in the water.
Ice Machine: This would be another addition to the device that would rock. Ice cream is part of my daily pick-up job, and having an automatic ice cream machine would cut it out. And in the summer, I'm limited to the amount of ice cream I bought that morning. So unless I run out to the store and get more ice cream, I'm stuck with what I bought. An automatic ice machine would crush this problem.
Larger refrigerator: I can currently hold 4 liters of milk. It limits my sales to approx. 100 transactions before I have to run out to buy more milk. Larger fridge allows me to get more milk. Remember that 50% of your sales are from milk.
Trailer: If I could go back, I would definitely have a truck instead of a trailer. It is much easier to set up every morning. The neat thing about the trailer is its eyeball, but I think there are ways to generate eyeball with a truck. Of course, having a truck means that if there are engine problems, you are out of service until it is resolved.
Painting: Get a good painting job. Something that stands out. I went cheap on the color of the paint but expensive on the coatings. That means I spent more on the clear coat, then I did it on the paint itself. I also bought stickers and when I look back I would have had my stickers professionally done.
