Searching for a spark of kindness in the desolate gray landscape, "Each day you return from the village you will report to me what you have seen, and if you have taken upon any cases, you must tell me about them, in great detail." Phoenix is the only lawyer in this small provincial town that isn't on the King's payroll. Allowing him to defend the innocent and help those who can not afford a royal lawyer to defend them. But this doesn't always mean he is paid well, and when the King increases taxes once again, Phoenix and his patchwork family are forced from their home. Disappointed, they begin their trek back to Kurain village. But when a wrong turn leads them to a magical castle the monstrous master inside offers them shelter in exchange for information. This seems too good to be true, what mysteries is this Beast hiding? And why does he look like he is in pain?

Phoenix Wright didn't plan on becoming a single dad, but he IS now, and he needs help looking after little Trucy while he goes back to law school. Miles Edgeworth isn't what people expect when they think of a highly qualified nanny, but he's good at what he does. Now, if only they can convince Trucy to stop trying to force them together... Or, well, maybe they shouldn't. [COMPLETE]

This is set in an alternate universe where there is no grimm and the characters go to normal school. But you are an attorney that is working for the wright anything agency, which is stationed in Vale. This is also after Apollo left in the 2016 ace attorney game. Especially now ever since he's become the Chief Prosecutor. He never became very interested with romance or having relationships with any women. It was useless and stupid to him. "Having romantic relationships will only distract you from your work!" Is what his mentor once said to him. So what happens when the white haired defendant that got the not guilty verdict (as always) suddenly meets him in the prosecutor lobby? When Klavier suddenly appeared in Khura'in shortly after Apollo moved there to stabilize the legal system, he didn't know what to think. Why was the prosecutor helping him? Two years after Spirit of Justice takes place, Apollo and Klavier live together in America, working side-by-side to get through daily life. They learn how to embrace each others' flaws, sharing a love deeper than the average relationship. They have their problems, sure, but with proper communication and exchange of feelings, they learn that they can overcome anything. Fluff (slice of life), not smut; will have some angst. Contains many headcanons based on game interactions, and some personal ones. Cover art is mine.
