Zara wiped here tears over and over. She didn't want them to come but she couldn't help it either. They just kept running down her face.
Amanda, her colleague had advised her earlier to see a counselor. The advice, she took. She was sitted already waiting for the Counselor to get back on seat. The Counselor's secretary had asked her to wait outside the office until the arrival of the Counselor. But no, She just could not wait.
She wiped her tears again. Her handkerchief was already mudy, stained with mascara, brown powder, foundation and everything other thing, she added on her face.
She brought out a mirror from her bag, she was looking totally drained. She doesn't know what was becoming of her. Everything just happened so fast. All the memories kept haunting her. The thought of these just made tears flow profusely.
She heard footsteps approaching the door. That must be the Counselor. She hurriedly wiped her face with the already dirty handkerchief. That was when she noticed the beautiful framed picture of the Counselor on the desk. She has a handsome husband and a beautiful baby girl. Their smile was so precious. That was all she wants right now.
The footsteps entered the office, She was bending, wiping her face properly to face the Counselor.
"Good morning, Miss Chizaram". It was a male Voice. It turned out that the "Counselor's handsome husband" was the the Counselor she was waiting for.
"Good morning, Counselor. Call me Zara".
" Great, Zara. I am Desmond. Your Counselor". The shook hands. " I can see you have been doing well".
"How really?".
"Crying"
She looked surprised. "that's a good thing?"
" Crying for a long period of time release Oxytocin and endorphins, Oxytocin gives a sense of calmness and wellness. Crying makes us feel good. It eases us of our physical and emotional pain. So is good to cry."
Tears ran down her face again. He walked across and got her a glass of water.
"Thank you"
"Now, without leaving out any details. Tell me everything".
