Disclaimer: This will make you want to watch chick flicks and eat pistachio ice cream. May cause side effects of staring at drum majors and wanting to meet the two fantastic authors. 𝐼𝑛 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑐ℎ, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑒𝑡 𝑔𝑖𝑟𝑙 𝑓𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑢𝑑𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑡ℎ. *** Ophelia Haynes is one of the most talented brass players the Oak Creek Band has seen. The only problem? Her severe performance anxiety. She finds that talking to people outside of her small friend circle is terrifying and is easily overwhelmed by crowds. When marching, she has no problem playing with the rest of her section, but in her junior year, an opportunity for a solo presents itself. When when her nerves overwhelm her right before an audition, one of the drum majors steps off the podium to offer her a quiet, supportive word-and an unlikely, deeply supportive friendship is born. Long hours of band camp, late night bus rides from competitions, and football games only seem to bring them closer together, but a slight slip up between the two could cause a domino effect over everything they've been attempting to build.

kayla is a upcoming freshman at Benjamin Russell high school, and a rookie band member, join her though her journey though band camp, high school, friday night football games, long bus rides, and maybe even love!

Cadence is a freshman at her high school, South High. She's in the band, and everyone in the band is put in marching band unless in football or color guard. She has played the trombone since sixth grade. What happens when she starts marching, and gets a crush on the Drum major? Will this season be filled with fun, or pain and regret?
