With the group getting along and making great timing finding the Dragon Balls, the GT gang is confident that they'll make it back to earth in time. However, a visit to an unknown planet has deadly consequences that shatters their world. Trunks realizes then that Pan wouldn't be his undoing - she was the only thing keeping him together.
