She also finds out not everyone loves the lord like she does and gets heavily persecuted for her faith and the following year something traumatic happens but she finds hope and recovers not only with that but the death of her cousin Elizabeth the year before. As soon as her and Ronnie both start their freshmen year at Lynn Haven High School and face many challenges throughout their Christian faith and love she is once again suddenly faced with bullies and quite odd people that don't want Emma there and she becomes bullied for her faith in Christ and how she looks. She has several colleges after her talent and on top of all that, she has school, babysitting, and church meets every Sunday and Wednesday night.
