Poetry to the moments I've doubted myself most,
And to the other moments where I've also doubted myself!
So... pretty much the majority of my life.
There's a lot to doubt, okay?!
To each breath I take,
To every lie I claim a staggering stake,
To each and every thought of each and all of my own mistake,
'Til death do we part,
For I warn you that I am not one to be very smart.
I warn you that I am not bold.
I warn you that I am not perfect.
I warn you that I am not whole.
I warn you that I love nonetheless,
That I smile and laugh when I hear you're coming back.
I smile, and for a moment my feelings find themselves having lost track,
Of where I begin, and where you take hold.
My Darling,
Might you find warmth in the cold.
