Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. One day, a weak and homeless old man visits Janus, seeking shelter from the storm. Janus turns the man away, repulsed by his appearance, and as punishment, a curse is placed on Janus and his castle. Janus is turned into a monster, with six arms, claws, venomous fangs, and scales covering half of his body. The servants of the castle and all his guests were turned into furniture, as punishment for sitting by and doing nothing while the Prince grew into the cruel King he is today. However, there is a cure for the curse. If Janus can learn to truly love another and be loved in return, the curse will be cured. As the years went by, the castle and everyone in it became forgotten, and Janus lost hope. For who could ever love someone as cold and monstrous as him? Meanwhile, in a small village nearby, a Wizard named Logan Foster is looked down on by his town for his startling intelligence, difficulty in social situations, and his practices of magic. That doesn't deter Roman Prince from attempting to court Logan, however, because even if he is odd, Logan is the most handsome man in the village, and Roman has always enjoyed a challenge. Not wishing for his son to be alone, Patton Foster agrees to give Roman his blessing. Logan, who doesn't wish to get married, runs away from home. He plans to build a cabin in the forest and live the rest of his days there, but instead he finds a castle, where he is invited to stay as a guest. (Yes changing the captive part you're welcome) He isn't sure yet who the Castle's Master is, but based on the talking furniture that allowed him to stay here, he assumes it's a fellow Wizard. And what better way to explore their relationship, than all of these One Shots dedicated to them?! Join them on their journey of new and true love, gut wrenching angst, tooth rotting fluff, and quite possible passion filled romance moments. There's a story out there. A story parents would tell their kids before bed. A story of their history and that of good morals. A story of a war and a betrayal. Yes, the great war. the war that was waged for eons. The five kingdoms fought tirelessly against themselves. For land, control, and resources... no one was ever satisfied. Always wanting more until the words began to crumble away. Magic began to seep into the world they new warping it... changing it. The kingdoms scrambled for the power knowing whoever possessed the magic was all powerful. In the war to control it the kingdoms began to fall to ruin. They learned the magic was far to twisted and chaotic for one place to control. They created what is known as the treaty of Aesir, with combined the five kingdoms under one, ruled over by five chosen royals, before all five then descended the pit to suppress the magic. In the attempt, the magic seeped into there very cores giving them all the power and turning them into hosts for the world to call on. They held the magic and gave the world magic in return. They thought they had won. They thought with the treaty everything would now be safe and hold. One did not agree. The cursed Kingdom of Raviera with its barier of the dark flame began to twist everything about. Wanting even more power and praying on the other kingdoms by way of shadow. Eventually, the treaty was broken and the four other kingdoms faught back against the Dark prince, finally trapping him away in crystal. Thus started the new treaty of Aesiran... The four kingdoms finally at peace... The dark prince traped in earth for all time to forget... to wither away in memory... Raviera now dust and dirt. a whisper in the wind. (Sorry for the absolute shit that that description was hahaha. I'm not good at summaries at all)

Virgil Bast grew up in a poor neighborhood in New Orleans, learning from his family's work ethic and never once slowing down from the day he could get a job of his own. He's always been kept company by his best friend, Patton La Bouff, son of the richest man in New Orleans. Prince Roman of Maldonia has always been surrounded by praise, money, and /almost/ anything he could ever want. Prince Remus, on the other hand, has never really been what you might call the pride of Maldonia. And the Shadow Man has only ever wanted to punish those who've done wrong, helped along by his Friend on the Other Side.

Who would have thought that simple action would have caused so much to... Click into place. Life's actually been pretty great. Even with Remus and Deceit coming around more... things... Things couldn't be better. Well, that's not actually accurate. Things could have been better. At least better for Thomas. Thomas... Their host and most important thing to all of them... or at least should be the most important thing to all of them. He doesn't really listen well. In fact, he makes decisions that are NOT good at all. Like going to Patton's room from the second time in a very long while WITHOUT the very prince who has been doing everything in his power to make sure a certain anxious side was well... Let's just say Thomas learned his lesson... As well as gain a whole new problem.

The Inn, a home for more than usual kids, sits in the forest, unbothered by the regular world. But there's more than it seems under the wooden shutters and friendly residents. The Inn is a much better place than it used to be, but two people, hiding in plain sight, haven't forgotten its troubled past.

Janus misses Virgil deeply, even going as far as to keep Virgil's old hoodie. He also kept Virgil's old spider stuffie, though he knows it's not healthy for him to keep the objects. He still keeps the objects and wears the hoodie to bed. what happens when Remus dumps Janus onto the couch in the lightsides saying Janus is not allowed in the darksides anymore?

Roman Sanders had a secret he only ever shared with three other people. Patton, his literally father figure. Logan, made sense since he was logic. And his brother, Remus... obviously. His secret... He was cursed. Or more correctly stated King Creativity was cursed. It never went away with the split. No... Roman never lost his curse. What is it you might ask? It's simple really... He's cursed to an eternal sleep once he's found love. Once he falls in love he has a year to kiss them. The second he does he falls into a deep permanent sleep. The person he kisses is then forced to go through trails to wake him up. Should they die... Roman never wakes up. The worst thing about the curse is if Roman doesn't kiss them within the year the curse will take over and force him to kiss someone, it doesn't even have to be the one he loves. Basically forcing a stranger into the trails risking both theirs... and the life of their prince. Roman... He did the very thing he promised he would never do. He fell in love. He fell in love and now... now it's been a year. Let the trails begin.
