currently being entirely rewritten twin The Mid Sodor Railway was once a small, yet well built railway off on the midwest of Sodor. A multitude of stories has came from it, whether it be the story of engines like Smudger and Grandpuff, or silly myths from the spooky seasons, like a ghost engine that fell off the bridge. These stories partially kept the railway alive after it's shutdown in the 1920s. Yet one was barely ever talked about, an engine that used to work on it in the early 20s, around a decade and 4 years before its shutdown, who was once considered a scandal for the railway, yet faded out of memories. A myth that was true. This uses some headcanons/theories. (Fearless Freddy used to work on the MSR, for example) Inspired by the Dudley series and the Tobias and the Sentinels trilogy. sodor experiment is canned btw

this will cover all my TTTE fanfics so don't read if ur not interested in that type of things. These stories all take place in my TTTE AU "Trains and the Supernatural", where mythology, folklore and ghosts are real. England, 2008. Tornado has just been completed and what remains of the Gresley cousins bicker of who loves her more. Meanwhile, in the dark, someone else's plans have also been completed.

This is my take on Proteus's backstory. Of course it is in my TTTE humanized au, so a few things would be different compared to the show. It takes place on the Skarloey Railway, somewhere around the late 1800s. Proteus learns a lot throughout his childhood, and discovers many things he does not understand. I'm not happy with how this turned out, so it may be rewritten one day, but I had to write it for an English project. Apologies if it is too difficult to read, I know I should've done spacing with single lines, but it would have made too many pages, and I read larger paragraphs a lot better. I'm just going to let you know ahead of time, I gave up near the end, so the pacing is obviously a lot more rushed, and the story stops being coherent. It was around 3 am when I decided to just finish the story somehow, there was a lot I wanted to add, a lot I needed to add, but I just couldn't. Maybe one day. I am very fond of these characters, and they do mean a lot to me, so treat this like a rough draft or a base for the big, final picture, when I finally bring everything together. (Model sheets for the characters may come soon. I just wanted to publish the story already).
