A RANGERS APPRENTICE FANFIC: Alyss's brother Luka had a simple life. He lived with his twin in the ward and had sword lessons every other day. He was already promised a scholarship into battle school because of his skill with the sword, but all his plans change when he is kidnapped in the middle of the night. He unknowingly is pulled into a world of mystery and surprise around every corner he never wanted to be part of. Nikata never thought that she would ever have a cub. However, when she saw the young miracle laying beside him, she couldn't imagine living life without this little bear, Koda. Their journey continues to the salmon run where they meet family, new friends, and plenty of challenges along the way. The most dangerous danger has, and always will be though, man. (Takes place before Koda's mother is killed and I've added a few of my own characters. There really isn't much about their backstory and Koda's mother doesn't even have a name. I filled in some gaps and I tried to keep it as close to the facts as possible.

While imprisoned they learn that the assassins are in league with the Temujai who plan on invading Araluen. Will they be able to escape... or is this the end? Ashlyn Brazewood is a ward at Castle Redmont. She is an adventurous girl, who is fascinated by the Rangers. She was always wanting to learn more about the mysterious group. She doesn't spend her time knitting or cooking, like most girls. She spends it out in the woods, searching for a new adventure. When Choosing Day arrives she requests to be a Ranger. What will people think? Can she pull it off? But the more important question is. . . How will Halt survive having two inquisitive and stubborn apprentices? This book is based off the series Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagon. I only take credit for Ashlyn and any other ocs I might add. The picture for the cover is not mine.
