This is Halt in the Ruins of Gorlan. Focus is on Halt, with some Will & Halt bonding, but more Halt & Gilan, Halt & Pauline and definitely more Halt & Crowley.

Humorous and anecdotal stories loosely based on experiences traveling and working during the 1980's and 90's, in the African offshore oil industry. Drawing on some real and some imagined situations that should never have occurred, but unfortunately did, all too often. Near sinkings, legendary drinking bouts, malaria driven feverish events, and incredulous run-ins with the politics of Angola and Nigeria from officialdom and from the locals. Old boats and oil equipment that should have been out to pasture, but all ending up offshore Africa, along with the same calibre of personnel, who drifted along with that old equipment.

Flanagan, author of the entire Ranger's Apprentice series. Is set after 'And About Time Too' in the eleventh book The Lost Stories. Headcanon story and could thus have happened.

Francesca Stone is upset...okay, well she's more than upset. Her boyfriend, whom she's been living with, for the past 2 years cheated on her with her best friend. That too, in the bed they shared in the house they shared. How's that for friendship? Angry and hurt, Francesca finds herself running through the condominium her and her ex once lived together in. She finds the condo and practically beats the door down but to her surprise she's greeted by someone else. Not her boyfriend, not his best friend; someone else. There standing in the doorway is Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik of One Direction. Turns out, she walked into the condominium beside the condominium she lived in and knocked on the wrong door. Soon she finds herself in a one direction whirlwind of feelings, confusion, romance, and friendship.
