Neteyam's life is a paradox: brought back from the dead by Eywa, his return is bound to a prophecy. He is forced into an arranged marriage with Tulee'pa, a Metkayina warrior who despises him, to father Tsa'lavantula, a child destined to be Pandora's last hope. Their strained family is a web of resentment and duty, a vulnerability that Aylu'ite is quick to exploit. She sees Tsa'lavantula as a threat to her dominion and plots to corrupt the child's spirit, turning the prophecy into a tool of destruction. Neteyam and Tulee'pa must put aside their bitter differences and forge an unwilling alliance to protect their daughter, for if they fail, both their family and the balance of all Pandora will fall into Aylu'ite's shadow.
