The silence that once lay on the street was broken by the sound of my bare feet slapping against the rough, harsh concrete. I could here his yells from behind me as I quickened my pace. I turned the corner and began climbing over a wired fence, the corner of my dirty white over-sized shirt getting caught in the process. "Shit." I muttered to myself as I heard his footsteps growing louder and louder, closer and closer. I jumped over the other side of the fence, causing my shirt to tear. I continued to run without stopping and looking back as my scrawny legs grew weak beneath me. My legs soon gave out and I collapsed against the cold, hard ground, the darkness closing in.....
