Fortunately, before Beerus could destroy the child Whis interjected, suggesting that this could be the Super Saiyan God he had the vision about.

They both escaped the Laboratory before he goes to get them all. Bardock soon finds out about this while on another Planet and goes to find them in an Abandoned Base with their friends.
