Though, it seems that his one and only son Miles Edgeworth was abducted by the real murderer. In order to find and rescue his son, Gregory must defend Manfred Von Karma in court to prove his innocence and find the real killer, while also facing off against his dark past of corruption, falsified evidence and the loss of his former lover. Will these two enemies set aside their differences to stop a common enemy and save the one person they would give their lives to save. After being rescued by a teenage greaser wannabe Junior Detective, Dick Gumshoe, Miles Edgeworth makes it his mission to help his father and the prosecutor that saved him from Yanni Yogi's killer. Together, Dick Gumshoe and Miles Edgeworth must investigate, then gather the evidence to be analyized and approved of by the Police Department before the killer finds out. Unfortunately, the killer is also the prosecution attorney for Yanni Yogi's murder. Will Miles Edgeworth and Dick Gumshoe beat the killer in his own game or will they become another piece to his mad man's game of cat and mouse?

The victim, Misaki Yoshida, died from a fatal stab wound in the chest. But during trial, It went bad, due to him, being traumatized by the actual killer. Asougi, decided that he would defend Naruhodo with his might, since Naruhodo couldn't defend himself. He was asked many times by Naruhodo if he could defend him, but Asougi's mind kept telling him no, because of the Professor Killings Incident. He took time think about saving his best friend. He took the case, and investigated throughly. Will he save his best friend from this case, or will the verdict be Guilty?

During trial, it went bad, since he got traumatized once again, by the actual killer, the same one who killed the teacher of the university. 10 days ago, after the murder at Yūmei university occurred, another murder has happened, but a third year student has died. Naruhodo asked him to take his case. Asougi kept getting many memories again, during trial and investigation. He tried to stop thinking about it once more, but it turned out horrible.
