But then his lips crashed against hers, fierce and unrelenting, the kind of kiss that sears and drowns all at once. Her mind went blank, breath stolen by the heat blooming in her chest. And when he finally pulled back, just barely, his voice was quieter-possessive. "Next time you throw yourself into danger for someone else, Yueling... This is fanfiction inspired by the current c-drama, 'Lost You Forever.' It's the same story, but still not the same. It is a shot at "what could have been" and a try to fill the void of Xiang Liu's tragic ending in the series. It's an attempt to bring comfort to those who were left heartbroken at the end of the drama. This story contains spoilers, but also a lot of detail has been changed that doesn't match the original story. As said, it is fanfiction and uses references from the original. If you give this story a chance, you won't regret it. You don't need to watch the drama. This story is complete in itself. I haven't read the original novel written by Tong Hua and do not have cultural knowledge, so there might be some things that are not right or I couldn't find during research. But as it is a fantasy story, I let my imagination be. I hope you enjoy reading it and ignore its faults :)
