Tyler Joseph. A star basketball player at his high school, and an all-around popular guy. Erin Brady. Known to her classmates as the perfect student with above average grades, but also as the quiet girl who nobody really talks to. On paper, the two of them are worlds apart. But Tyler and Erin are surprisingly connected, because of the long-standing friendship between their moms. When Tyler's mom asks Erin to tutor him so that he can achieve good grades, and combine them with his basketball scholarship to get into college, Erin has no choice but to accept. Her mom tells her she has to do it, plus Tyler's mom says she will pay her, and she needs the money for her own college fund. She doesn't know how she'll deal with having to spend so much time with Tyler though, when they seemingly have nothing in common. But when Erin actually gets to know Tyler, she soon finds that there is much more to him than meets the eye. Behind the cool guy act that he puts on for everyone at school hides a smart, sweet individual, who is also battling inner demons nobody knows about. Soon an unlikely friendship begins to emerge between the two of them, and what started out as after school study sessions turns into deep late-night conversations and sharing secrets. Is it just a friendship, though? Or could their connection be something more?

Students in Texas follow the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the state standards that outline what students are expected to learn across different grade levels and subjects. Because these standards are specific to Texas classrooms, students may sometimes benefit from academic support that goes beyond general tutoring. This is where TEKS-focused tutoring can provide a more targeted approach. For families looking for flexible academic support, TEKS online tutoring can connect students with instruction designed around Texas curriculum requirements, individual learning gaps, and academic goals. What Is TEKS? TEKS stands for Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. These standards define the knowledge and skills students are expected to develop in Texas public schools. TEKS covers subjects and grade levels throughout K-12 education, including Mathematics, English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR), Science, and Social Studies. Rather than treating every student as if they have the same academic needs, TEKS-aligned instruction can focus on the specific skills a student needs to strengthen. This can make tutoring more relevant to classroom learning and assessment preparation. Understanding TEKS can also help parents determine whether their child's tutoring is actually connected to the curriculum being taught at school. Why TEKS-Aligned Tutoring Matters General tutoring can be helpful for homework assistance and broader academic support, but Texas students may benefit from instruction that reflects their state's standards. TEKS-aligned tutoring connects lessons to the skills and expectations students encounter in their Texas classrooms. This can be especially useful when a student has missed foundational concepts or needs additional practice before an important assessment. A TEKS-focused learning plan can help students: Review grade-level concepts Strengthen foundational academic skills https://studyhours.com/tutoring/teks-tutoring-online

She was failing math. Luke Hemmings was good at it. He barely noticed her in the halls and definitely wasn't interested in helping her after school. But tutoring changed everything. What started as awkward silence slowly turned into laughing, talking, and looking forward to seeing each other every day. He was cold. He was annoying. He was sweet when no one else was around. And he was just her tutor - until he wasn't.

Yes, when I say the title is Uptown Girl I was listening to Uptown Girl when I realized it would be the perfect title for this story. Thank you Billy Joel. This story is about Oli Meyers your average green eyed blonde haired teen, but oh wait I forgot to tell you, she doesn't care about what you think about her personality/preference wise. However just like every other American teen, she wouldn't be seen in public looking like a naked mole rat, or (sadly) with a naked mole rat. So what happens when she falls for the boy she's tutoring, not only is he the schools class clown, but he has quite the controversial past.

(PREVIOUSLY CALLED 'TUTORING THE BAD BOY') In Ella Archbald's opinion, there wasn't anyone more annoying than Ryan McCauley in the entire world. When he passed by her house in his noisy motorcycle, her grandpa always exclaimed he was a stupid, inconsequent young lad, and when he started to go to her school and they met, she couldn't agree more. When his aunt and also her teacher, the lovely Mrs. Littleton, asked her to tutor Ryan in mathematics, Ella almost had a heart attack. However, how could she say 'no' to her amazing teacher? Ella had a hard time saying the word 'no' to anyone, and even though she put effort on the task, Mrs. Littleton's puppy eyes were unbeatable. She agreed. Just great! Ella's senior year just needed that to be a complete mess. She needed to decide to which colleges she would apply, she had to study more than ever, she also had to deal with her feelings towards her bestfriend's brother Jay and now she had to tutor the city's bad boy. But would Ryan really be that bad, or he would turn out to be her prince?
