Anna was surviving with her sister Ellie. They had seen there parents die a little after the outbreak. Anna and Ellie get separated and Anna thinks Ellie is dead but she never loses hope. Anna finds some groups, but having no choice to kill them. She cleared out a house and had been staying there for a while, when she sees a group outside the house. She talks to the group and Anna has a felling about this group, she thinks they are good people. But are they good people and will they maybe give her clues to where Ellie is? Trying to survive with her 10 year old brother Adam is hard in the zombie apocalypse. Along the way they find a group and Kristen falls in love with a boy but will someone change that? Or will she always be in love with the same boy she met when this thing first happened? Will challenges come along the way? And will surprises only keep getting worse and worse for her.

The reader likes Daryl but she thinks he can never like her in that way so she ends up avoiding him and after a few days he is done with her running away and everything so he tries to talk to her but she runs away (still inside the walls of Alexandria) he runs after her and ends up tackling her he holds her down and tries to get her to talk she eventually ends up confessing why she was ignoring him and he is in shock so she pushes him of and runs off again eventually he finds you in the watch tower and he ends up pushing you to the wall softly
