Desperate the chaos of a jammed highway to Atlanta, Y/N meets a ragtag group of survivors. Trust doesn't come easy in this new world, but neither does anything else. One day you're living normally, the next, a deadly virus spreads worldwide and everything you knew is gone. Can y/n find strength within her new group? Or will the world where things don't stay dead get her first? This fanfic follows the characters of TWD season 1-2. I wrote a story that immerses you into the series, without being necessarily attached to one character. For legal purposes, I do not own any rights to the AMC series. I'm just building upon the source material of the show.

Your heart begins to thud. He's protecting you. Just like what any and every body guard should do. ...
