(And I also changed a few details) Torchbearer had already been through so much. Every Clancy he'd met, gave in to the cycle and even though he'd never been friends with any of them, it broke his heart every time. then one night, he met HIS Clancy. A Clancy so traumatized from whatever he'd seen in Dema, that he never spoke. he didn't even nod his head, and he clung only to torchbearer, who decided he would take care of him. and guide him through his journey. Torchbearer wanted so badly to hear what this Clancy had to say, and soon found himself catching feelings. ***Disclaimer: this story talks about trauma, death, SH, and smut.... Also I'm aware this isn't perfectly lore accurate, I wanted to have some fun with it :)***

After having a fallout with his so called "friends", Josh starts hiding away in his bedroom. His parents, of course, are concerned, but in not wishing to invade his private life, they get him a dog. Tyler ends up helping Josh over come the plague of loneliness and slight depression, and even helps him find a new friend along the way. Yes, Tyler is a dog. No, this is not a Joshler fic. This is nothing other than an alternative universe story wherein a boy much like Josh Dun owns a dog named Tyler.
